The two funsters were on tour during May 96 and
the show was great fun. I hope to put up a little review here at some
point of the stage show. In the meantime find out what it was like to be
a member of the studio audience during one
episode of the television show I went to back in February 96. Rich and
Stew went to the Adelaide Comedy Festival in February and March 97, escaping
the dismal weather in the UK (well, they're no fools are they?). Sian Aston
was lucky enough to see their gig and
this is her review of it.
Below are all the known live shows and television appearences Rich and/or
Stew are doing.
Rich and Stu's acclaimed Sunday morning show with a difference (the difference being that it's on in the afternoon) returns in early '99.
As they did before the first series, Rich and Stu will be doing warm-ups in the new year at The Riverside Studios, Crisp Rd, off Queen Caroline St W6, London near Hammersmith Tube station. The box office can be reached on 0181 237 1111. The shows start from the 16th January 1999 and then every Saturday at 5.30pm until the 20th Feb.
Rich and Stew's show on the satellite and
cable 'Paramount Comedy Channel' and 'Channel 5'. It's a behind the scenes
look at the 'Just For Laughs' festival in Montreal. It has been shown already
on 'The Paramount Comedy Channel', but will be repeated at some point on
'Channel 5'. Worth tuning in for Rich's incessant muffin jokes alone.
Rich and Stew was on The Ant and Dec Show
on Channel 4 on the 18th February 1997. That's right, look impressed. In
fact, they were only on for twenty seconds, but they still managed to be the
funniest bit in the entire half hour.
The BBC were very happy with Rich and Stu's
last show and they were given a second series - ro be broadcast probably
around February and March 1999. Perhaps they'll give them a bigger studio
this time around. Booking details when I get them (ie when I nick them off
Rob's page).
FESTIVAL OF FUN II
HOSTAGES
Rich and Stu seem to have found a way to
get paid twice for the same idea. They're writing pilots of this new sitcom
for both Fox in the US and the BBC. The basic idea has six people being taken
hostage by people unknown. Rich and Stu plan to appear in the British
version.
CLUUB ZARATHUSTRA

Stew along with Simon Munnery, Kevin Eldon and Sally Philips have done a
pilot show of Cluub Zarathustra for Channel 4. An hour(?) long special has
been recorded and the scripts for several more episodes has been written.
The show is currently in Development Hell and it's unknown when (if ever)
this show will appear.
