The island of North Uist is part of the chain of island called the Western Isles and is 50 miles west of the Isle of Skye. There are ferries daily to North Uist from Uig on Skye (see: www.calmac.co.uk) and from Monday to Saturday from the island of Harris. There are also daily flights to Benbecula which is the next island south.The Internet Guide to Scotland'Grand View' is located on the west side of the island in the crofting township of Claddach Kirkibost (Cladach Chirceboist in Gaelic). The cottage is set in private grounds with uninterupted views of both land and sea.
