Lyn Cooper

Lyn has lead the band on concertina continuously
since it was formed in 1979. She has also played concertina and
keyboards with various local bands as well as singing and playing in
folk clubs.
She is a member of the 'core' of the Grand Union
Folk Club and dances in The North West Morris style with Anstey Royale
Chalfont Ladies Morris side.
She is the main contact for the band. |
Charlie Corcoran

Charlie has been our regular caller for more than
ten years now. He is an experienced caller with a wide repertoire
of dances. His clear instructions, lively approach and his
knack for encouraging people to dance without causing embarrassment
explain his popularity as a caller, and he is often requested by name by
organisers who have booked us previously.
He is also a fine fiddler and dances Cotswold, Border and Rapper Morris
with Leicester Morrismen (bagman) and Man Friday Morris.

Dave May

Dave, our guitarist, has been in the band since
the1980s.
He is a skilful and imaginative player, with a variety of rhythmic
styles and chords which reflect jazz and rock influences as well as
folk.
He produces a range of sounds to suit the tunes
on semi-accoustic, solid electric and 12 string guitars.
He is also our P.A. expert. |
Richard Hair

Richard Hair, our bass player, is the most recent
addition to the band, becoming a permanent member of the band about a
year ago after several years as 'sub' whilst running his own band.
He is a skilled player whose far from staid bass
lines work closely with Dave's guitar work to produce an imaginative,
musical and danceable sound.
He is also a Derby County supporter, but we try not to mention that! |
