Buses

Desborough is fortunate in having a good public transport network with buses passing through the town at 30 min. intervals and proceeding to either Kettering or Market Harborough.  The local services are provides by United Counties, linking with national services in Kettering.

Trains

There are stations in both Market Harborough and Kettering with onward connections to St. Pancras in London. From Kettering the journey normally takes about 55 min. with stops at Wellingborough and Bedford.  There are both intercity main line trains (Midland Mainline) and Super Sprinters for more local journeys.

Roads

Desborough is well connected by road with the busy A14 only 5 minutes away and through this road, connections to the East coast ports and the Midlands. The M1 and M6 lie at the western end of the A14 normally 20 minutes away.

The Desborough & Rothwell by pass is due to be completed in 2003, probably late Summer or early Autumn and is expected to considerably reduce the number of vehicles passing through the town on a daily basis. It will join the A14 at junction 4 and rejoin the A6 just before the start of the Market Harborough bypass.
