General
Goldschlager
is a cinnamon schnapps. It is a clear drink and comes in a rather attractive
bell shaped bottle. The main distinguishing feature of this drink
is that it has flecks of gold leaf floating in it. Apparantly the gold
just passes through you so it may well pay to pass water through a tea
strainer after a session on this drink.
I
have in my possession some rather nice labelled shot glasses. This sort
of thing always adds to the enjoyment of a drink. It's available in most
bars in Belfast and costs about £17 a bottle in off-licenses.
Review of Goldschlager
If
you like cinnamon, then you'll love this drink. It has a really rich and
warm taste and you can certainly feel it going down. The flavour is a bit
harsh due to the high alcohol content but it goes down extremely well as
a shooter.
This
drink more that any other has been responsible for many great nights. Because
it is easy to drink you take far too many of them too quickly. I
have seen the people carried out of bars after their first experience with
this drink and it has caused me to forget portions of an evening at times.
This
is a great winter warmer and is guaranteed to liven up any evening. One
of my personal favourites at present.
