General
This is a whisky liquor from Scotland with a dark brown colour. The recipe is said to be given as a reward by "Bonny Prince Charlie" to someone who helped him gain passage to France when on the run from the English.

The decendants of that lucky person still have the recipe and it is a closely guarded secret.

This drink is available everywhere in most good pubs and off-licenses.

Review of Drambuie
This is a magnificent drink. Sweet, rich and just this side of decadent; and non-whisky drinkers may well like this too because of the honey flavour in there. However it can be a bit heavy and you shoudn't drink too much at one sitting; especially on first trying it. Great on its own or with one ot two lumps of ice.

Don't mix it with anything else. This is a drink to be savoured and enjoyed. Another great winter warmer. Highly recommended.

Novelty               nice history but won't make much difference in a bar environment !
Taste         quite exquisite - but can be too rich
Kick               The taste belies the whiskey-grade strength
