Here is an extract from the Modified Vehicle Report I have to supply to my insurance company.

Engine Modifications (2512cc, ??BHP at ??RPM, ??lb/ft torque at ??RPM)

Opel CIH 2.0S Block with the following:-
                        - bored to 97mm (2mm oversize), relieved to allow fitting of 2.4L crankshaft
                        - Manta 400 2.4L Steel Billet "knife edged" & lightened Crankshaft (85mm stroke)
                        - Farndon I-Beam Con Rods – 134.1mm between centres, 55mm big end, 22mm small end
                        - Omega Forged 97mm diameter pistons with 6.5mm dome, compression height of 31.5mm
                        - Risse Motorsport 30% higher duty Oil pump (with integral crank sensor mounting)
                        - Cast Iron Oil Pump Cover (Vauxhall/Opel Part No. 3448844)
                        - Engine Compression ratio 11.43:1
Opel CIH 2.2L Cylinder Head  flow bench modified by Jim Garrard, Competition Cylinder Head Developments, Driffield, East Yorkshire, with the following:-
                        - Special Competition 5/16" valve guides designed by Jim Garrard
                        - 47mm Inlet, 40mm Exhaust Valves, have 5/16" stems, with valve profile designed by Jim Garrard
                        - Modified Opel hydraulic lifters (tappets) with flat topped insert
                        - Cam Effects 1.557 ratio Roller Rocker Arms (modified for use with 5/16" stemmed valves)
                        - Comp Cams Dual Valve Spring, 95lb/in installed pressure
                        - Hardened Steel Exhaust Dual Valve Spring Seats
                        - Hardened EN24 Steel Dual Valve spring Caps
                        - Cam Effects Stud Girdle
                        - Special Piper Cams 290° duration solid lifter Camshaft (12.60mm valve lift with 1.557 ratio rockers)
                        - Kent Cams Vernier Pulley

Fabricated gearbox mounting bracket
Modified Opel Ascona 4-speed gearbox bell housing
Sierra Cosworth 9.5" Clutch and Cover
Quaife ATB (Automatic Torque Biasing) Differential
Steel Torque Tube with strengthened driven shaft
Modified Torque Tube Cross-member with spherical bearing torque tube mounting
Modified/strengthened Manta GTE propshaft to fit Quaife gearbox 

Suspension Modifications

550/900lb x 9" front springs, bump stop shortened by 15mm, original droop restrictor modified to keep springs under compression
240/300lb x 10" rear springs, new shorter shock absorbers keep springs under compression
Front cross-member mounting bushes are solid alloy/steel
Heavy duty rubber bushes on front wishbones and rear suspension
Nylon bushes on Torque Tube Cross-member and lower shock absorber mounts
Adjustable AVO Shock Absorbers on front, length 245 – 360mm
Adjustable AVO Shock Absorbers on rear, length 320 – 515mm
Front Wheel Camber - 3° Negative, adjustable top ball-joint gives additional ± 0.5°
Front Wheel Castor - 6° adjustable
Manta GTE Anti-roll bars – solid inner mountings
Powerflex front Anti-roll bar outer bushes
Adjustable length Panhard rod

Steering Modifications

2.2 turn steering rack
12" Steering wheel
Rubber steering joint replaced by universal joint

Brake Modifications

Wilwood Superlite Alloy 4 pot Callipers and vented disks (280mm diameter) at front
Rear drum brakes replaced by Ford Escort Cosworth Rear Discs and callipers
Bias Pedal Box, front and rear brakes have separate master cylinders and reservoirs
Steel braided hose replaces all original rubber brake hoses
All other pipes/hoses replaced and re-routed to suit
Fly-off handbrake action

Body Panel Modifications

Manta 400 Replica bonnet
Manta 400 Replica 3-piece boot lid
Manta 400 Replica twin headlamp kit
Manta i240 Road Body Kit (including front wings, air dam, rear arches and side skirts)
Front lower valance removed
Rear steel bumper replaced by steel re-enforced plastic unit from Manta GTE
Front steel bumper replaced by modified steel re-enforced unit from Manta GTE

Strengthening Modifications

Safety Devices Manta 400 roll cage, with integral door bars, welded to bodywork
Front chassis rails and front inner wings seam welded
Front shock absorber turrets seam welded 

Other Body Shell Modifications

12V Electrically heated laminated Windscreen
Top of radiator moved forward by 2"
Airflow to radiator and oil cooler enlarged and enclosed by Aluminium sheet
Various minor bodywork modifications to reduce susceptibility to rust and cracking

Ridgard Steel framed racing seat (driver’s side) with 4 point clubman racing harness
Original passenger seat (removable) with 3 point clubman racing harness
Terra Phone Intercom system for driver and passenger
Non standard washer bottle
Twin windscreen washer jets
Electrical cut-off switch
Electrical cut-off and Fire System draw wires on passenger side on scuttle panel between bonnet and windscreen
Large amber oil pressure warning light

Competition style fuse/relay panel (using blade type fuses)
Driver's Instrument Panel replaced with Stack ST8130P Road/Rally Dash Display System
Side repeater indicators on front wings
Complete Electrics rewired throughout to suit
Battery/Battery box moved to front passenger foot well
Interior carpeting, sound proofing materials and rear seat removed
Air heater fan and matrix removed
Aluminium fire wall fitted between passenger compartment and boot
Aluminium oil breather bottle for engine in engine bay
Competition fuel pressure regulator in engine bay
Thermostatically Controlled (70°C) Oil Filter Sandwich Plate with cooler ports
13 Row Oil Cooler fitted in front of radiator
Oil Temperature Sensor for Stack ST8130P in Oil Cooler Return Pipe
Speed Sensor for Stack ST8130P on driver's side front wheel
Electric Fuel Pump and fuel filters in boot
Radiator from 8V Vauxhall Astra with uprated 4 row staggered core
Electric Radiator Fan with electronic thermostat and manual switch
Electrical System Isolator Switch located in dash board
2.25Ltr Manual Fire Extinguisher System (2 nozzles in engine bay, 1 nozzle in passenger compartment under dash board)
