This page contains a list of modifications I am considering for the future. I have included a couple of previous years, so that you can see what we have already done. I didn't get the new 2512cc CIH engine completed in 2002, because I was waiting for the Cam Effects Roller Rockers, so everything has slipped somewhat. New stuff for 2005 and beyond has been added, after I started reading about Superchargers on the WWW recently. For those of you who have a look at this page occasionally, you may notice that the 16V head project and the Turbo project have disappeared. It looks like Kerrie Thornton will be putting the 16V head on his own 2.4L CIH block, and will probably be putting the completed engine in a Manta A. Hopefully, he will allow me to keep updating the CIH 16V Head page as the project continues. My 2005 High Compression/Low Boost Turbo Project went south, after I read that a Whipple Supercharger is much more efficient than the older Roots type Superchargers. Installing a Supercharger appears to be no more technically difficult than installing a turbo, although almost certainly more expensive (of course!), and they don't suffer from lag like a turbo. Superchargers are very rare here in the UK on the road and especially on the track, and their distinctive sound is truly awesome. Also, Harri Salminen, from the Opeltuners Web Site, is already doing a 400BHP CIH Turbo project, so just to be different (as usual!) I'm going to see what I can do with a Supercharger. 2000 - Complete the change to fuel injection and full Engine Management Control - Completed. - Install Quaife/Sierra sequential gearbox - Completed. - Install Rear Disc Brakes - Completed
