Band

WHAT THE PRESS ARE SAYING ABOUT

"Belfast is full of 'covers' bands and 'originals' bands comprising
overly serious people who want to be stars and who generally
develop colossal chips on their shoulders when the starship fails
to land.  I saw Rev. T well after midnight at the end of a long
charity gig in a smoky pub. It was as if the whole night had just
started again -a massive shot of energy, fun and funky
soul-brotherhood that had everyone back up on their feet. Without
doubt the finest good-time, musical-history-tour band I've seen
in years. Guaranteed to get the party going. One might
suggest, a truly original covers band. Book with confidence!"

PROFILE...

REV.T
‘…a truly original covers band’
REV.T is the resultant collaboration of 5 musicians
who wanted to spread the word of soul, funk, rock and blues
and have a bit of craic in the process.
REV.T have been described as being ‘Without doubt the finest
good-time, musical-history-tour band I've seen in years.’
by Mojo and The Irish Time’s contributor and author Colin Harper.

REV.T are certainly guaranteed to satisfy even the most discerning
tastes with their soul-infused phat funk and high-octane
performance.

Rev. T-The good Reverend is something of a force of nature.
Regularly leaving audiences totally slack-jawed, he has the
unnatural ability to part the hair of the casual onlooker at 100
yards with the power of his voice alone.Has been described
as 'Andrew Strong with balls'. Also known to do a mean Meatloaf
impression. Hates alcohol. Especially Jack and Coke. Oh boy
he hates that. If you see him drinking something with fumes
coming off it it's his cough bottle. That's all. Nothing to be
alarmed about. Just stand at a safe distance...
Br Higgins-Twice World Champion (yes I mean it) drummer
Br Higgins brings a wealth of experience to Rev. T-watch out for
outstanding technicality and feel blended into a concoction of
mouth-watering percussion. Don’t mention the sparkly snare. Or
Lederhosen. Or baby oil. Is something of a culinary expert.
Especially when it comes to kitchen worktops.
Br Murphy-A music writer and producer with more that 15
years experience, Br Murphy truly ‘plays from the soul’. Heavily
influenced by the likes of Phil Lynott and Jaco Pastorius,
Br Murphy turns bass playing into performance art. Watch out
for the Spiderman ‘shapes’ he throws. And also watch he doesn't
cleave you with his bass as he runs around like a man possessed
with his wireless system. Has been known to stand on tables,
chairs, members of the public and anything else that looks
like a platform.
Br Browne-After spending most of his formative musical
career in the School Of Music and playing with orchestras,
Br Browne became bored of playing in the Ulster Hall and
decided to do something for the greater good-to help apotheosise
the nation in the ways of good-time Soul and Blues! Face-melting
solos and funky sax heaven.
Br Lindsay-Band Leader and Musical Director Br Lindsay
swears that leading the faithful in the way of the truth and light
of getting down panders to his megalomaniac tendencies-the
rest of the Brotherhood just smile and let him believe he’s calling
the shots. A professional musician and graduate of MIT. Played
with lots of people but claims he’s never had this much fun. Has
been known to play banjo but will only admit this under hypnosis.
REV.T provide their own PA, sound engineer, transport
and are exceptionally professional in their dealings with owners,
management, agents and punters alike.
