where do the sprouts come out?.
Through a special deal, Ronaash, the makers of these specialist pots,  have enabled me to make the following offers.  Postage is included. The full price is as quoted, there is nothing else to pay.
There are 3 types of cell on offer, Rapid, Sherwood and Fleet. The Fleet cells are the deepest and the ones I think are best for palm seedlings/small plants, although some, like Chamaedoreas are probably better in the shallower ones.
These offers are on two tray packs for the moment only.
All pots are delivered by Ronaash, so you get exactly the same delivery service, but at reduced prices.
This page will be about pots that I have used personally for growing palm seedlings and plants, or pots that I know other palm enthusiasts have used with success. Hopefully I can provide some special offers from suppliers of those pots.
To come are my experiences with drinking cups, clear plastic beakers, black plastic Palm Centre type pots, Rootrainers, very long pots from America by Anderson,  and also Italian ones.
The main thing I will look for, apart from cheapness, is depth of pot relative to width. I know other palm growers value this property too, and it has often been the topic of discussion boards. Many palm growers value deep pots for their seedling plants, but they are often not easy to find, or cheap to buy.  Palms very often need deep pots,  in particular, Brahea armata, the Parajubaeas, and Dypsis decaryii will not thank you for planting them in a shallow pot.
