Nothin' But Time

INTRO | VERSE 1 | CHORUS | VERSE 2 | CHORUS

INTRO, VERSE, CHORUS, the whole damn thing!!!

D / / / |Em / G /

OK, it's dead easy, but for that really authentic Sing-along-a-McNabb style, we need to get into some serious hammer on action. So, the very first strum is a bog standard open D chord, but keep your index finger OFF the G-string, missus. Straight away, hammer-on to form a normal D chord and strum away. Once more. Similarly for the Em chord. One strum with nothing being fretted, then hammer on 2 fingers to form good old Em. Bass picking between the G chord and back to the D is tabbed below:

...G.........D...

e..3.........2...
B..0.........3...
G..0.........0h2.
D..0......0..0...
A..2..0h2........
E..3.............

         D                                Em        G                         D         Em G
We'll be travelling in the wintertime and one of us will know which way we're going
         D                                 Em         G                     D           Em G
We'll be strolling down a country mile and turn to go which way the river's flowing
        D                               Em         G                          D         Em G
We will take our fill of frosty air and talk about some place somewhere worth knowing
       D                                 Em          G                          D       Em G
I will make you laugh with stories of my brutal past when night falls you'll be glowing
   D                             Em            G
So come along my little darling, come along my alibi
D                               Em                 G
Stop the thing it is your doin, wipe the tear from in your eye
D                           Em          G                  D     Em G
All I see in front of me is meant to be, we got nothin but time

etc!!
