Today we played the first of our four internal competitions..... The Ladies and Gents 4 woods singles. We had nine ladies taking part and they were..... Ann Robins, Margaret Gaymer, Sheila Sharp, Christine Robinson, and Helen Maud playing in league one. We had Maureen Medhurst, Sharon Traves, Dorothy Morgan, and Jean Ashley playing in league two. There were eight men entered for the Gents 4 woods singles and they were..... Mick Mumby, Rowley Sharp, David Gaymer and Ron Shucksmith in league one. We had Tom Raisen, John Bett, Stan Robins and John Ashley playing in league two.
Our thanks go to Roy and Helen Maud for organising and running the days events, plus also our thanks to Stan, Tom, Rowley, David and John Bett for being there to act as markers for the ladies, and also to Ann, Sheila, Maureen, Jean, Helen, Christine, and Sharon for making for the men matches.
