IRC is a kind of a chat room I use to download old cartoons.
You will need a program to access the cartoons mIRC was first created,
but I suggest either Invision , SysReset or Syrius.
Once it is installed. Go to the folder C:\Invision2 and run MIRC32.exe.
Click on the first icon in the top corner. When the box pops up, enter your user info

In the Full Name box type your name.

In the Email Address box type your email address.

In Nickname and Alternate type two different nicknames in the nickname boxs.

To connect click add then type the following from one of the pictures below:

To join a channel type /join #channel (channel is where the episodes are served e.g. #cartoons).

Once you are in a channel type !list in the box at the bottom.

A list will pop up choose a trigger (e.g./ !pookeytoons.com fserve!). Then type the trigger in the bottom box.

You will most likely be put into a queue of people waiting to download cartoons, this can take a while for your turn to come around. You can close the window where you choose the episodes but it is unwise to close the channel you are in, some people serving remove your queues if you log off for a while other dont.

One last thing if when you are downloading they keep cancelling and that the file type was ignored.
Click DCC>>Options>>Folders>>In DCC Ignore chose Disabled
Take the tick out of the Turn ignore back on in:
Then hit OK.
