Final freight trains to Louth
(all photos Peter Enefer)

Following closure of the Grimsby to Peterborough line in 1970, the line was retained,
between Grimsby and Louth, as a single track goods only branch to serve ABM the maltsters in Louth.
Here a class 31 is seen approaching the overbridge at Little Grimsby .

Pictures of Cl37 at Louth.  Date and number unknown.

This was one of the last freight trains to ABM, pictured by Louth North signalbox.

The loco ran round in loop near old malt kiln, then propelled vans into ABM's yard.
