Ashover Light Railway

Opened in 1925 the Ashover Light Railway was a 2ft gauge railway connecting Ashover with Clay Cross in Derbyshire.
It was closed in 1949 and two of its original Gloucester built passenger carriages survive on the LCLR.

Examples of the first and fourth coaches survived closure and were used extensively on the
Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway. They are now at the LCLR near Skegness.
