Firsby South Junction Box looking southwards towards Boston. The
Skegness branch left the main
Peterborough to Grimsby line here sweeping round a very tight curve
to left of picture. This junction
saw many excursions to Skegness, and formed a triangle with the
North junction used by branch local
trains from Firsby station and through traffic from the north.

After closure

A derelict Firsby station in 1971 after closure
and tracklifting. It`s hard to imagine that this was once a
busy rural junction station with a through
service to London Kings Cross.
