Prior to 1960 it was possible to continue
northwards to Theddlethorpe, Saltfleetby, Grimoldby and rejoin the
ELR at Louth.

Mablethorpe station seen from the north. This had obviously been
a busy yard at one time,
water tower and goods shed on right. The route behind the photographer
lead towards Louth
but was closed on 3rd December 1960 leaving Mablethorpe as a terminus
on the branch from
Willoughby Junction. This closed along with the ELR in 1970.
