      TOM BELL

      Cowboys

      Cowboys with-
                        out
      Good intelligence
      Riding the waves,
      Surfing, spinning
      Tales as a homeless
      Vet
           gets up to savor
A bit of the hair that
      Bit him back then.

      Baseball

Baseball is a pastime men and
      Boys and women
      Njoy.
Take me out to the park.

      That round thing,
      Horsehide with red
      Stitching was
      Pitched to Bob Ueker
      Who by fluke
      Hit it Outa
      Old Orchard
      Borchert Park

Where I grabbed it away from the old men
      In dark raincoats who
      Filled the stands ten
      Years before Hammerin Hank
Could play there in the bigs

      Baseball is a futureime
You and I can play now.
      "Here, catch!"
