Antwerp
The beauty of the city is well documented with other web sites...
Fuel available from either of the yacht clubs or from the independent supplier in the straatsburgdok, not far from Royerssluis
Radio reporting for yachts is required on entry to the Antwerp Dock System, and a charge levied for passing through, However if staying in William dok this is waived. This also applies if coming into the dock system via the inland routes.
Thanks to Jachthaven Antwerp willemdok, for the map, below |

One of the Large lifting bridges, notice the ship in the background, the clearance to the side is 6.6 mtrs |
| If it wasn't enough keeping a good look out for ships, the barges are large & fast!!! note the two blue cones denoting dangerous cargo |

Although this picture was taken in the tide way, the harbour tugs fly around as well, great care needs to be taken near the locks as the spaces are so large as to make spatial decisions quite difficult until one becomes accustomed to the view |

The water front when coming down stream, the yellow mooring bouy for the old constructors basin is on the left, beware of its metal high rim which is garanteed to remove topside paint at or near slack.Good arrival timing is also required as the ebb quickly builds within a short time to over 2 Kn |
