JIVE - A new, fly anywhere electric model from Dave and Jim...

Designed with an (optional) removable V tail, JIVE can be packed into a small shoulder bag for transportation whilst walking.

Designed for a wide choice of motor / battery combination, it is currently using a Kms KBM31/12 motor and matching Kms controller, supplied by Woking models for £40 a set. Standard NICAD and NiMh batteries are being used (8 cell) with excellent results. A real joy to fly, it has now been tested in a range of conditions, including a spell slope soaring at Newlands Corner.

Plans are available from Jim or Dave, and we are currently taking orders for foam wing cores which will be made available for a small fee. The rest of the construction is balsa / cyno and some blue foam.

Note: Although easy to fly, this is not a model for the absolute beginner. Anybody with a few months solo should be ok. With a little care this model can be built by a newcomer to model construction, but note that the plans are more a set of dimentions rather than full size outline drawings.    

P.S. DON'T use cyno on the foam!! :¬)
