Injury Corner

Home Up

This working on cars lark can lead to injuries.................and it has! Here are some shots of the types of accidents I have had to date, remember kids, always wear protective clothing and use common sense when working with tools! ;-)

This is what happens when you are lying on your back underneath a car in a confined space waving a hammer about willy nilly. I was actually trying to brutalise the brakes on the Jag axle as they were ceased. Incidentally they did free off, but I didn't realise until 2 days later!! (by the way that is my THUMB!)

OK, now you cant really see a lot here, but this is the result of welding and grinding in a t-shirt. Mig welding gives out UV rays, and hence you get a tan! Bring out the factor 50! Alternatively you should wear long sleeves and welding gauntlets. Ho Hum!

When welding, remember that heat is involved! Also remember the bit you welded 30 seconds ago is probably not the best place to lean on! Doh!
