Dan Maurer

Dan Maurer was born in Cleveland, Ohio. He began drumming at the age of 11, in 1971. Since then he has gone through various phases including, but not limited to, rock, avant-garde experimentation, textural rhythms and of course - jazz! His documented body of work includes Sonicphonics, Low Flying Aircraft, Echo City, Bow Gamelan Ensemble, Hazard Profile, Strange New Flesh and David Cross. Presently working in Big Stick (with John Dillon), Brixton band Mushine as well as his own band Stalingrad Exit. He resides in London, England.
