Children are welcome to start training at age 7 and will be taught by qualified instructors with the Karate Union of Great Britain.

Special classes are held regularly including the very popular fun days and bag classes every month. Our Christmas and Halloween parties are a hoot!

Style!
The style of Karate practised is "Shotokan". Shotokan is the most popular style of Karate in the world today. This is because of it's strong foundation and well structured syllabus. The Karate Union of Great Britain (KUGB) is the country's largest single style Karate association with over 400 clubs and more than 20,000 members.

Atmosphere!
The atmosphere in our classes is nothing short of electric and most people are extremely impressed on their first visit to the Dojo (training hall) It is this atmosphere and environment which attracts so many students to the art of Shotokan Karate. This often leads to a very fulfilling lifetime of study.
Behaviour!
Parents and teachers frequently report on the improvement in the behaviour of children who train regularly at KUGB clubs. This is because of the emphasis placed on good manners and discipline.
Safety!
Safety is paramount in our classes with all instructors holding a special Karate first aid qualification. The injury rate in Karate is low compared to many other sports.
