Thanks... - the Lord’s sustaining in 2002, a demanding year with new challenges, especially in our counselling ministry - greater attendance at church with several new people integrating; for Gladys, Adriana, Sandra and Mirian confirmed in December (2 adults and 2 teenagers) - César & Paola’s marriage strengthened after Marriage Encounter - Feliciano and Rosa’s help and teamwork for Sunday services Pray For... - PARAGUAY, suffering the effects of the regional recession and ‘non-government’; listed poorest and most corrupt of South American countries, unemployment and violence increase - the people we have been counselling: Raúl & Nancy, Enrique and Cinthia, Roger (now divorced), Ricardo (separated, but totally transformed after giving his life to the Lord) - our holiday adventure by coach overland (and the Andes!) to Chile 10-30th January, to see the Somervell cousins - the Sunday services in our absence, for the summer holidays’ ‘remnant’ to meet faithfully |

Thanks... - good send off and family time in UK - help received re Myles' health - language study time in Portugal - computer funds - help folk have given as we settle-in - a home near work Pray For... - effective world and church response to southern Africa's famine - preparations for - and move into - house - our security in home, whilst we are travelling and on street - work: Richard's colleagues in communications are Zita, Fredrico and Inacio; Bianca's colleagues are Pastor Marcos (Evangelism), Mamma Natalia (Girls Centre) and Senhora Gilda (Work with women). - safe daytime care solution for Myles - Residency visas and 'dires' to continue working here (there is a mountain of bureaucracy between them and us!) |
