ROURKE/O'ROURKE FAMILY TREE
It is believed that the family name was O'Rourke but the O was dropped when they came to England. Some later family members had the O put back into their name.
Fenton Rourke 1838 - 1872 Collier
According to the 1871 census Fenton was born in Yorkshire he was married to who was born about 1845 in Dublin Ireland Family legend has it that Ellen and Fenton met on the boat coming over from Ireland to England. Ellen boarding at Kingstown Dun Laoghaire Dublin and Fenton boarded at Queenstown Cobh Cork. Fenton and Ellen were married prior to 1868 and had the following children
They lived at the following address's Old Factory Row, Kearsley - Sugarfield Farnworth Fenton Rourke was killed in a mining accident in 1872 leaving Ellen Rourke to bring up the family by herself. Ellen was in the Bolton work house in 1901 aged 56 and died in 1921

Edward Rourke was born 1868 in Kearsley Farnworth he was married to who was born 1874 in BOLTON the marriage took place at The Church of St Gregory the Great In Farnworth Bolton on the 9th December 1893 Edward and Nancy Hannah had the following children
They lived at the following address's Northumberland Street, Farnworth Barncroft Road, Farnworth Manchester Road, Linnyshaw Wardley Roe Green, Worsley Moorside Road, Swinton
