Trent Valley Aircargo began life in early 2006, after several years flying for Nobelair, Transload and Eurostar virtual airlines TVA's co founders Daryl and Adam Barber decided that it would be more rewarding to combine both the virtual flying and virtual airline management elements of the hobby. This resulted in the birth of  Trent Valley Aircargo, as they live just half a mile from East Midlands Airport and have both been regulars amongst the Aviation Enthusiasts there for several years (Adam 10 yrs and Daryl 33 yrs) EGNX was the obvious choice for the airlines primary hub. The name was derived from the Trent Valley Aviation Society (based at Diseworth near Castle Donington) which Daryl and Adam are both members of - for details about TVAS please click HERE.

The fleet began to take shape in June 2006 with the delivery of the first 2 Boeing 767-300 Freighters from Boeing pre-owned sales in Seattle, Washington. Both passed acceptance inspections and spent the next 4 days performing type rating training between East Midlands and Gatwick, the following night G-TVAB flew TVA's first commercial cargo flight delivering canned beverages to a local leisure and entertainment company from Amsterdam Schipol.

Over the following months the fleet and scheduled cargo routes expanded, in December 2006 TVA began to deliver mail in partnership with the Virtual Royal Mail Services from Robin Hood Airport to UK and European destinations using Boeing 737C and Beechcraft 1900C aircraft. Since then we have gone from strength to strength and have recently leased 2 757-200 Freighters from European Air Transport (DHL) to provide additional medium long range capability.

The Team


Daryl Barber - Co founder & Boeing Fleet Captain
Born in 1966 and has been an aviation enthusiast since 1974, Daryl is an IT Service Manager working in Derbyshire. He has been an active flight simmer since Sublogic Flight Simulator 4 back in the 80's and has over 2000 simulated flying hours (Civil) and over 1000 (Falcon4) as well as 20 real hours in Cessna 152's. Daryl's primary objective for TVA is to provide a fun whilst realistic  airline environment for fellow simmers to enhance the enjoyment of their hobby by adding the extra dimension of flying as part of a virtual team giving more purpose and satisfaction to their virtual aviation.

Adam Barber - Co founder, East Midlands Hub Manager & IIyushin + Antonov Fleet Captain
Born in 1991 Adam has been a keen aviation and flight simulation enthusiast for several years, he has over 300 hrs on big jets his favourite rides being the Boeing 747 and MD11. Adam is due to join the RAF later this year where he will get paid to be around fast jets (lucky for some). Until then he will ensure the smooth running of the operations out of EGNX. Until all staff positions have been filled Adam will double up as the Antonov & IIyushin fleet captain.
