The Shrouds of Uber...
Clothing Obviously the cornerstone colour of any uber wardrobe is black.
There is a bizarre assumption that uber goths are into the fetish scene. This is not wholly the truth.
Most if not all uber goths will have at least one item of fetish/ bdsm related clothing made of leather, pvc or rubber.
If this is NOT the case then they have JUST started to wear strange bags in shapes of animals or cartoon characters so thay can stand out from the crowd.... especially the ones with the same bag.
Therefore, textures become more varied and interesting to discern the different garments and layers. That isn't to say that colours aren't worn. Red, purple, green, and blue to a lesser degree may be found, but usually deep shades of these are worn to reflect the depth of the uber wearer's mysterious personality.
It seems most male ubers pay much less attention to the type of fabric and seem to only bother with whether the prospective garment is black. Although this might be a secret advantage to why female ubers seem so soft and inviting, it could just be the appeal of the softer more luxurious garments rather than their gripping personalities.
Lacy white and antique cream can be used to inject an air of classic beauty and innocence, but take care of all the black eyeliner and lipstick - else you end up wearing a smeared polka dot shirt.
Lighter fabric which can be easily wafted by a slight breaze is often used so that the haunted look can be accomplished with the least amount of effort. Velvet, silk, brocade, crushed velvet, cashmere, lace and satin are all staple fabrics to bring interest to the black of the average uber.
