THE BENSON 4'S DART LEAGUE IS BASED AROUND THE TOWNS OF WALLINGFORD AND DIDCOT, AND ALL SURROUNDING VILLAGES IN THE SOUTH OXFORDSHIRE AREA. IT IS OPEN TO ALL PUBS AND CLUBS WITHIN AN 8 MILE RADIUS OF BENSON VILLAGE. THE LEAGUE COMPETES BOTH SUMMER AND WINTER SEASONS AND MATCH NIGHT IS THURSDAY NIGHT. THERE ARE AT PRESENT 32 TEAMS COMPETING IN 4 DIVISIONS, WITH OVER 1200 REGISTERED PLAYERS. THE LEAGUE OFFERS 6 to 8 COMPETITONS EACH SEASON, INCLUDING SINGLES, PAIRS AND TEAM GAMES. WHILST BEING A COMPETITIVE LEAGUE AND DISPLAYING A HIGH STANDARD OF DARTS,THE EMPHASIS IS ON THE SOCIAL ASPECT OF AN EVENING OUT PLAYING A TRADITIONAL PUB GAME.
