About me

I’m married to Sue (my chief editor) and we have two fantastic children — Matthew who’s ten and Daniel who’s seven, along with a cute (and dopey) dog called Tippex (I know, great name for a writer's dog - but I didn't even name him!).

I met Sue in the late eighties, at a local karate club (her boyfriend at the time was a black belt and a serving Royal Marine — I certainly didn’t do any of the running!).

I am lucky enough to work part-time & look after the boys when Sue is at work. I would love to be able to continue working part-time and use my free time to write (once the countless DIY tasks that have been building over the years have been done, of course!).

I’m one of those people who always thought they would love to be a writer, but never tried. Until November 2004, that is, when I took the plunge and wrote Are You Afraid of Vampires?, which was subsequently published on my local BBC website. You’ll find it in the Short Stories section.

Please have a read & tell me what you think.
