Using state-of-the-art oscilloscope and serial diagnostic equipment I can trace out and rectify problems with your car engine maybe others have not been able to. Nowadays, many garages  have a diagnostic scanner and when a quick plug-in tells them that a particular sensor is suspected they simply fit a new part. When that doesn’t cure the fault and the engine warning light is still on, they try another part. This is a very expensive way to diagnose faults and is not the way I like to work. If I suspect a fault in any part of the engine management system, I carry out tests to pinpoint what is actually happening and only replace parts when I am sure they need replacing. That way, the car gets fixed right first time and the customer can be sure no parts were changed that it did not need.

I can perform static and dynamic tests on fuel systems, drive actuators and test exhaust gases & lambda switching.

Intermittent faults can be troublesome and time-consuming but with the facility to record and capture glitches in the vehicle electronics and then play back it is possible to trace any fault.

If your car is over-fuelling, apart from the potential damage to your expensive catalytic converter and the obvious waste of fuel, which is now over £1 a litre, you could risk failing the M.O.T. or one of those roadside tests, and they're getting tougher all the time.

Even a small misfire can cause irreparable harm to the catalyst.

Routine servicing presents no problems, I am fully equipped to deal with all sorts of vehicles, I even have a grease-gun for those odd cars that still need greasing!

People often ask me for a price for servicing and I explain that it is very difficult to price accurately as it depends on what was done last time and how long ago that was. What I will say is that I pride myself on giving all my customer’s cars a thorough check-over, actually doing more than the manufacturers schedule. People tell me that they really notice an improvement when their car has been serviced by me, and when I see a car for the first time I like to give it an extra special check, this forms the basis for future visits.

Classic cars and small fleets welcome.
