The entry this year has increased yet again due to demand and the Yorkshire Volleyball Association's desire to create the BEST beach tournament to cater for ALL playing abilities. The BEST in terms of equipment and facilities. Virtually every piece of equipment used belongs to the tournament and is available to HIRE to clubs or associations. Saturday
Registration will take place at 9.30am. for main tournament
Each session will operate with either pools of 4, 5 or 6.
Tournament Rules
1. Pool games will be 20 min. (pools of 6) or 30 min. (pools of 5). Best of 3 sets (pools of 4)
Scoring will be RALLY POINT TO 50 max No sets. (except pools of 4) Total points scored to count. If teams are equal on total points at the end of time then play continues until 1 team is the winner!
2. No more than 4 players will be allowed on court at one time.
3. AT ALL TIMES THERE MUST BE NO MORE THAN 2 MEN & 2 WOMEN ON COURT. If a team has less than 4 players then the opposition may elect to drop a players serve to balance the game.

10. U15 BOYS ( born 1994) or over 60 men CAN PLAY IN PLACE OF ANY WOMEN IN MAIN COMPETITION.
All results to remain on the court, teams are responsible to make sure they are fully recorded.
TOP 2 TEAMS IN EACH POOL TO QUALIFY FOR WINNERS K.O.
3rd & 4th WILL PLAY IN THE PLATE K.O.
5th & 6th place WILL PLAY IN THE BUCKET & SPADE K.O. ON SUNDAY.

ANY TEAM NOT REGISTERED 20MIN AFTER REGISTRATION TIME WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.
Men's, Women's and Mixed 2-a-side K.O. Competition
This will be held AFTER the 4-a-side tournament has finished on the Saturday.
Teams must register after 12am
(ONLY 64 TEAMS WILL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER FOR EACH. FIRST COME BASIS).
ENTRY FEE £2 PER TEAM, WINNERS TAKE ALL.
Rules
1. Each match will be 1 set or 15 min which ever is shorter.
2. No volleys allowed on service receive. Hands must be flat and touching.
3. VOLLEYS allowed to cross the net only in the direction of the chest.
4. No dumps allowed or speed tips.
5. Teams may serve from anywhere along the baseline.
6. Players may cross the centre of the court without penalty provided they do not impede the opposition.
7. No time outs allowed. Rally point scoring to 25. Change ends every 10 points.
8. Only 2 players allowed per team.
9. The ball may be played with ANY part of the body.
10. The BLOCK counts as the 1st team touch.
11. All other rules as in E.V.A.
