Cheder

Our Cheder runs every Sunday morning during term time from 10:00am to 12:30pm at a local school. At present there are around 30 pupils, aged from 5 to 12, and a high teacher pupil ratio.

The aims of the Cheder are to teach children to read and understand basic Hebrew, to give a grounding in Jewish values and history, to give an introduction to prayer, the prayer book and spirituality and to encourage the development of close peer group friendships. Further information and a prospectus are available from our Head of Education, Janet Kogan, via the synagogue office at
nemasorti@hotmail.com.
