Membership

If you are interested in becoming a member of the New Essex Masorti Synagogue, we would be happy to welcome you into our community so that you can decide for yourselves whether this is the right community for you and your family.

If you would like to speak to somebody in advance of that, please feel free to contact either Nigel Lawrence or Warren Davis, who head up our membership team, by email to nemasorti@hotmail.com. Please mark your email “Membership Enquiry” and either Warren or Nigel will contact you.

Should you wish to become a member of the community, our current membership fees are:

Full family £525 per annum  
Full single £350 per annum

In addition, for those aged 21 or over and in full time education, who need to become members in their own right to qualify for burial, we offer a special rate of £75 per annum for the duration of their education. Thereafter, fees will revert to normal, full single rates.

For those with children attending the Cheder, we levy a supplement of £55 per family per term.

In the first instance, please send an email addressed to our treasurer, Ruth Rotryng to nemasorti@hotmail.com asking her to contact you to discuss membership of the synagogue.
