Springfield House

|
|
The wedding ceremony took place at Springfield
House; a beautiful country hotel set within walled gardens
in the heart of the Lancashire countryside. The classical
Georgian architecture and the surrounding land set the
perfect atmosphere of tranquillity. The ceremony was performed
in a sunlit room close to the relaxing garden, with its
wide array of flowers.

Springfield House is situated amidst open farmland, which
was owned by the Corless family, who built the house in
1840. The last members of the family lived here until
1960, when the estate was sold, and it now stands in approximately
8 acres of grounds. Guests could choose to enjoy the conservatory,
chat nearby on the patio or explore the attractive garden.
As the sun shone down on our wedding day, the garden trapped
the heat, making it feel like the hottest day of the year.

Getting There
Springfield House is near to the village
of Pilling and just off the A588 near Garstang. It can
be reached from the North or South via the M6 motorway.
It's situated on a small country road called Wheel Lane,
and is near to the coast. It's well worth a visit on a
casual basis as it's such a nice place for a meal or a
drink.
