Collecting Latest news Gallery Lids Wild Flower Jampot Old adverts

Hi,

Welcome to my website.

I wanted this site to be a bit different, hence the pretty pictures. They are all taken from digital images of pieces in my collection.

Select the 'Collecting' button to read about how I started collecting and the 'Latest news' button for my collecting 'blog'.

I collect mainly Bizarre and Fantasque drum jampots, but there are a few other shapes and some later patterns illustrated here. For example, I also collect Honeydew and Cruiseware. You can see my collection by selecting the 'Gallery' button.

I have an obsession about jampot lids. This may be a characteristic of a jampot collector. Lids break more often than bases, so people move the lids from less 'desirable' jampots to more desirable jampots. You can read more about the problem of deciding if the lid is 'right' by clicking on the 'lids' link. I have updated my article to include post 1936 lids.

The real rarity of the collection is a 3" jampot base in the pattern with the working name 'Wild Flower'. You can read more of my thoughts about this pattern by clicking the 'Wild Flower Jampot' link.

Do you want to know more about Clarice Cliff and her works? There are a number of excellent books you can buy, the most recent of which is 'Comprehensively Clarice Cliff' by Greg Slater and Jonathan Brough. There are also two online clubs: one at www.claricecliff.co.uk and one at www.claricecliff.com. You can learn a lot from both sites even without applying for membership. The ebay forum at http://claricecliff.infopop.cc/groupee/forums is a good way of making sure you do not pay for a fake or a counterfeit on ebay. If you pay for membership you can access even more information and advice.

I have started to look out for old adverts. You can see an interesting 1947 advert by selecting the the 'Old adverts' link.

I hope you enjoy the site.
