James books his place

New signing young James Buck starts his debut on a high. Bucko got straight into the game, never looking out of place, scoring a great goal straight off the training field and then being brought down for a penalty.

The game was difficult today with the high winds ripping around the Hive but the bees coped really well in the first half. We were playing against the wind and were very unlucky not to go in at the interval one or two up. Underwood turned up with a very young side and saw plenty of possession but apart from one save Palethorpe had very little to do.

The Bees looked even stronger in the second period with the wind behind us. Mark was just about redundant in goal. Still the opposition fought to keep us out and it took a great goal to break the deadlock. A fantastic through ball from the General to Bucko who without thinking, Hit the ball first time giving the keeper no chance in the bottom corner. (1-0 after 65 minutes)

Bucko, McMorran & Captain Farmery were starting to look very dangerous in the middle. Changes were made down one of the flanks and its from this we got our next goal. Woody cruised down the left with ease leaving two defenders in his wake and then crossed a beauty to Bucko who in turn rounded his marker but was brought down for a definite penalty. After 5 weeks out through suspension captain Farmery took the kick leaving their keeper no chance. (2-0 after 72 minutes)

More was to come as McMorran left defenders for dead capping off a great all round performance and well deserved man of the match. (3-0 after 82 minutes).

Well done to everyone who kept their shape and discipline for the 90 minutes.
