Matrixgrade vs Sandhurst

Matrixgrade 1, Sandhurst 1

Goal Scorers - (M) G Witherington, L (S) Gaz Masom

Man of the match - Craig McMorran

All square
All was set for a decent game up at Sandhurst but was spoilt by a very nervous referee. He gave some very strange decisions early on confusing both teams.

The Bees looked a bit edgy for the first 15 but gradually ground their way back into the game. We started to apply pressure and got the goal we deserved from our top goalscorer Greg [foxy] Witherington. (1-0 after 25 minutes)

Just after that Sandhurst lost their center half with a dislocated shoulder and the game was held up for a while to arrange for an ambulance. Both teams were competing for everything when the referee decided to call a halt to things and go back to the changing rooms.

Both managers thought the game had been abandoned on 35 minutes. Both managers went in to see Mr Turner who at first did not want to restart the game but common sense prevailed and it was agreed to continue the match

Sandhurst came out the second period looking very sharp and caused the Bees a few problems, but they kept at it, working hard and gradually stablised. themselves Everything was going fine until 15 minutes from the end when a lack of discipline from the back left us open to a counter attack after losing possession from a corner, . Gaz Mason took his chance well. (1-1 after 85 minutes)

With just 5 minutes to go the bees had a glorious chance to win the game when m.o.m Macca was sent through one on one with the keeper but skied the shot. Both teams had chances to win the game but a draw was a fair result. A little more control and discipline in certain areas and we can start challenging .

Well done boys.....lets see you all buzzing at training!!!!
