Macca too hot

It was very cold and windy down at the hive but Macca was on fire. He got himself a brace, set the other goal up and capped it off with man of the match. Well done!

Cotgrave are a very good club run by good management - a young side that can only get better. We had to work very hard to keep on top of the game, especially at the back who did a sterling job. It was Macca who calmed things down a little when he cut in from an acute angle finishing superbly past Cowie. (1-0 after 10 minutes)

Just two minutes later and Bucko could have doubled the score but his shot went to the gods. Macca had a glorious chance just a few mins later but he too missed from up close. These two made up for their misses when they combined really well, Macca with some great footwork to set up Bucko who made no mistake to take us into half time(2-0 after 38 minutes).

The second half was a bit like the first, spoilt by the wind and some very strange refereeing [again]. We should have had two pens clear cut but the ref gave nothing?. Our midfield was very poor today but with a touch better finishing and sharper refereeing we could have finished the game with a few more goals.

Macca finished off his fine performance with a cracker to seal the points for the Bees.(3-0 after 75 minutes)
