Matrixgrade FC celebrated their end of season presentation. It was a great night with only a few lads absent for personal reasons.

Our presentation kicked off at 9.30pm with manager Steve Farmery taking to the microphone, he was assisted by a very special guest, Brian Laws (Sheffield Wednesday manager). Brian was a pleasure to have at our presentation and along with Steve made a great double act.

2007/2008 was a great season for Matrixgrade FC for many reasons, here are just a few....

• it was our first season at NSL level
• we finished second and as a team we fought very hard
• the season saw some great new signings for the club which were truly Matrix players and have set a good level for the coming season
• we moved facilities from Annesley to Bilsthorpe sports ground – a fantastic opportunity for us with a great pitch and even better prospects for further development

A great season overall and 2008/2009 will only be better - bring it on!!!

Back to the awards evening. All the team did very well on their own merit but some special awards were given highlighting truly outstanding contributions.

Top goal scorer - Lee Farmery, Craig McMorran & Greg Witherington. Yes three players ended the season as top goal scorers, this has never been known for the Bees.

A very well done to each of you and fantastic acknowledgement of each if your individual qualities.

The presentation night was a Hollywood Oscars evening which saw each of the lads pull out their best suits and polish their shoes for one night only. The ladies brought the glam into the football club. There were awards for best dressed female, chosen by Lynn Farmery and Linda Kerry, wives of the manager and chairman.

The prizes were amazing.

Craig won 6 months membership at Eastwood Hall (aka Hayley Conference Centre) where he has access to gym, classes, sauna etc...

Kelly won a champagne lunch with a day’s pampering including treatments of her choice at Salou hair & beauty. Both amazing prizes – we would like to thank both businesses for getting involved and providing such great prizes. Thank you.

Louise F (secretary) would like to thank all players and partners for following the dress code for the evening, you all looked very smart and your ladies very glamorous. I would also like to thank gym manager at Hayley conference centre for contributing such a generous and fantastic prize for the club. Hayley conference centre is a stunning place for romantic evenings, fitness, weddings and chill out.
