Could've been five, but only one put away...

Matrixgrade 1, Carribean Cavaliers 1

Goal Scorers - (M) C Wilson

Man of the match - Craig McMorron

Poor, poor finishing......

This game should have bean rapped up by half time, but chance after chance was missed. Five players out made no difference as the Bees created openings, but time and again fluffed in front of goal. (0-0 at half time)

Things got worse early into the second half when Smith got his marching orders for a second yellow. We seemed to come alive a little playing with ten men and sure enough we got what we deserved, when Wilson (back from a 2 month lay off) volleyed a thunderbolt in the top corner . (0 -1 65 after minutes).

Within minutes the Cavaliers who had worked their socks off leveled. Matrixgrade had no less than four chances to clear the ball, but poor defending allowed the Cavaliers to put the ball in the net. (1 -1 after 70 minutes).

Things took a turn for the worse when skipper Farmery was knocked out for a few seconds, but with a combination of smelling salts and true grit he was able to carry on. Just five minutes later Lee was in the wars again with a clash of heads. This time he had to go off with a split head wound (photo to follow). We still had chances to grab the points but again poor finishing let us down.

There’s still plenty of matches left to show the form and determination seen at the beginning of the season. Let’s get back on it Bees and win, win, win!!
