Bees blown away......

The wind decided how this games was to be played today and both teams found it difficult to play an decent football. The Bees got off to a great start when McMorron did a super solo run, taking the ball around the keeper and slotting home his 11th of the season. (1-0 after 8 minutes)

Matrix were finding it difficult to pass or hold on to the ball. We made a mess to give Cliftons equalizer after failing miserably on three attempts to clear the ball, giving them a goal on a plate. (1-1 after 9 minutes).

Any chance of playing any decent footie was also spoilt by some very strange decisions by the ref:

• A shot was blatantly handled inside the area right in front of the ref and he gave nothing
• we found ourselves 1 on 1 but he blew for offside with 2 players keeping us on by at least 5 yards not even their lino flagged.

Apart from hitting the crossbar we never looked like scoring .We thought things couldn’t get worse, but we were wrong. The defense looked shaky, midfield couldn’t string two passes together and apart from Macca, our forward play was awful.

Clifton played slightly better after making a couple of changes but the game looked like it was heading for a draw until late on when a big hole appeared in the center of defense leaving three players unmarked. Thomas tucking away an easy chance to steal all three points. (2 -1 after 83 minutes)
