Both teams had opportunities to win the game but over 90 minutes I would say a draw is a fair result. Hucknall started off the better team keeping the bees busy all over the park. We soaked up the pressure and seemed to be doing well until a ball over the top caught our defence square, leaving smith no option but to bring down the striker for a definite pen. The ball was struck straight down the middle to give Hucknall the lead. (0-1 after 10 minutes)

As a team we were not keeping the ball well, but gradually we were seeing more and more action. This was coming mainly from individual efforts and it was one of these that brought about the equalizer. A good run down the right from the hard working Wilson left the Hucknall defence wide open. The cross came in with players waiting to put it away but the blues center half miss hit the clearance and found the back of the net to give the bees the equalizer. (1-1 after 25 minutes)

In the second half, both teams shared periods of ten minute spells but it was the bees who had the better chances. First Farmery found himself on his own in the box with just Waters to beat, but shot just wide of the post, then the ever dangerous Mcmorron had a great chance to seal it but he too missed the target.

The game could have gone either way, but well done to Hucknall for keeping their unbeaten run.
