Fowler Showmans Engine
The Fowler was a more detailed and heavier model than
the rest of the range so it's retail price was higher. It cost
three shillings and sixpence (17½ pence) opposed to two
shillings and ninepence ( 14 pence) for the others. It can be
found in dark or light maroon or dark red, One short run was
painted purple and is quite rare. The roof can be cream or white
and the trim can be gold or gold and silver. The decals
proclaimed "Lesneys modern Amusements". It was in
production from 1958 to 1968 so must be one of Lesney's longest
lived models.
