Fr Dominic was born in York. He studied Chemical Engineering at
Teesside Polytechnic before working for
Unilever Research developing tea
products. He trained for the priesthood
at Cranmer Hall, St
John’s College, Durham during which time he was Chair of AOCM
and a member of
the board of the Church of England's Advisory
Board of Ministry.
He served as
Assistant Curate of St Michael & All Angels, North Hull and stayed as project manager of St Michael’s Youth Project.
During his time in Hull Dominic sat on the Hull Children's Fund Partnership board and the Hull Early Years Partnership he was involved with a number of
local partnerships including the New Horizons Healthy Living Centre and Surestart North Hull. He was a governor of Dane Park Primary School,
Chair of Governors at Thorpe Park Primary school and a member of the Hull City Council SACRE (Standing Advisory Committee for
Religious Education).
Dominic was collated vicar of North Ormesby in October 2004. He is Sub-Warden of
Readers for Middlesbrough Deanery, a Member
of Middlesbrough SACRE, the Church of England's interfaith
advisors
network, Middlesbrough Deanery Chapter Clerk and a member of the York Diocesan Youth & Children's Committee. Dominic is married to Heather, they have
two young sons.
Areas of theological interest include Liturgy, Religious Education, Philosophical Theology, Urban
Mission and Anglicanism.
