Worship
at Holy Trinity
Prayer and worship
are central to the Christian life, the
other things we do should flow to and from this core. From earliest times
Christians have met together on Sundays the day when Jesus rose from the dead to
hear the scriptures and to break bread. For the last 150 years Christians have
met at Holy Trinity.
The style of worship is within the modern Catholic tradition of the Church of England and drawing from a rich diversity of musical styles including World Church, modern RC, modern worship songs, Iona and Taizé. Our main act of worship follows Common Worship Order 1 Holy Communion. The service lasts for approximately one hour. Communicant members of other Christian Churches are welcome to receive Holy Communion. Children's Church. During the Parish Eucharist, (except during August), there is a staffed Crèche for children under 4. Children aged 4+ are invited to Godly Play session of storytelling, prayer and wonder in our dedicated Godly Play room. The Diocesan Child Protection procedures are strictly adhered to at all times and all those working with children are checked through the enhanced CRB procedure.
