This event is designed to remember the life and work of Lynn Armstrong (née Seldon) and her
parents, Rosemary and Eric. They were involved in bridge all of their lives and Eric and Rosemary
were probably the first people to run a bridge weekend. This was in the late ‘60s at the Queen’s
Hotel in Hastings when the owners were a couple of brothers named Ronnie and Reggie.
Eric was the county tournament director and referee for many years.
Lynn followed her parents into bridge and in the early ‘80s after her first marriage had failed
married Dave Armstrong. He lost his great teacher to cancer in the early ‘90’s.
The event is a six round Swiss teams of 8 boards a round. Just like Eric ran.
