Severn Sound broadcasts from the Bridge Studios in the Eastgate Shopping Centre which is located in the centre of the historic city of Gloucester. The station plays contemporary music plus regular national and local news. It belongs to the GWR group of radio stations. The service area covers both Gloucester and Stroud via two transmitters. The station also broadcasts Classic Gold on 774 MW.
