Carlton TV East Midland Television Centre

This is a major studio centre for Carlton Television. Situated on the outskirts of Nottingham it provides the latest digital technologies needed to make programmes for the ITV network. It compliments other studio centres in Birmingham and London. The soap, Crossroads, is made here as are many dramas and quiz shows. It also provides local East Midland News - Central News.  Originally the studios were built for Central Television before it was taken over by Carlton.

The studios are not easy to see as they are surrounded by trees and other buildings. These two show the building from quite a distance.

This is the staff canteen taken from just outside the car park. A model of the studio complex.

This is the main entrance leading into the reception area.

This is the News block that was added to the main building. It contains the newsroom and news studio. The East Midlands edition of Central News is produced here. A view from the back showing some of the Carlton TV vehicles.
