AERIALS IN FRANCEhome

The following pictures were taken in various parts of France during my annual holidays in 2002 and 2003. (New)

The French Terrestrial transmitter network is divided between UHF and VHF frequencies. The channels available are TF1, France 2, France 3, Arte/ France 5, Canal + (Pay Channel) and M6. Most viewers will need a Band IV/ V aerial and a Band III aerial to receive all the services and in addition to this they are not all co-located at single sites and thus sometimes point in different directions. There is currently no terrestrial digital system but one is planned.

These aerials are on the roof of the Eurotunnel Building in Calais. I think that the top one may be pointing towards the Dover TV transmitter.
