The Huntshaw Cross Transmitterhome

The Huntshaw Cross main transmitter stands on a hill overlooking the Devon town of Torrington which is not far from Biddiford. It was photographed on a wet and stormy afternoon in July 2008. It provides TV and radio transmissions for a wide area of North Devon. It currently carries both analogue and digital services but at switchover in July 2009 there will be frequency changes. The site of the transmitter is opposite the venue for the North Devon Show.
